Service is great here. I've called on the phone with questions and get price estimates, and they were patient, informative, and helpful. Same thing when I went to the store in person -- every time they are nice. When I had questions, a guy would just take me to see the different types of wood even if the shop was big and we had to walk a bit. It's a huge in the back, but neatly organized and clean.

It was a pleasure working with Andy from Pine Cone Lumber.  He was very helpful and patient when selecting the lumber and hardware needed to build an arbor for my home.  I had multiple changes along the way and Andy was very nice and courteous working with me to make sure we got what we wanted.  He even took me on a tour of the lumber yard which was in immaculate shape with high quality material.  The order also included free delivery.  Thanks!

My to go place for building materials and all lumber needs. I'm here almost daily and they are always super friendly and helpful. Andy is the best and super patient. I drive out of my way to buy materials here because it's worth it.

I really appreciated the service. It's easy, when you're trying something new, to feel overwhelmed and out of place, but Brian was very patient and clear with us, and we're really pleased with both the service and the lumber we received. We have some more home-improvement projects planned this summer, and I expect we'll go straight to Pine Cone next time.

Today was my third visit to this store. The staff is extremely helpful. They make sure you got everything, and make the whole process of picking and purchasing completely effortless. They will also help you load. I have to say that as compared to Home Depots, this is the place I want to do all my construction purchase. Their inventory is always abundant, unlike Home Depot where you  will never find everything under the same roof, and you have to wait a long time before anybody can even reach you to help. They even deliver on Saturdays. What more does one need! Extremely happy customer :)

I've used Pine Cone a number of times for home projects like closet shelving and baseboards.  Found the sales staff to be friendly and helpful even though my purchase is sometimes small.  The guys in the yard are always happy to make precise cuts -- a real time saver.  Grateful!

I came to Pine Cone Lumber several times to purchase Penofin® Ultra Premium Red Label Wood Stain. They are one of the only local places who carries Penofin.

Each time I came, everyone was happy and upbeat and I felt at home. Each time I was asked if I needed any help, they even carried the 5-gallon container of stain to my car for me. First time I came, I bought 2 gallons, second time I came I bought another gallon, and the third time I bought 6 more gallons (5 gallons + 1 gallon).

I also browsed around in their hardware section, and it seems they have just about everything anyone would ever need for building a deck, gazebo, new fence, or any other project requiring lots of wood.

Very soon, I will be going back to Pine Cone Lumber to purchase more Penofin for the new fence and gate I just had installed.

I would have no problem recommending Pine Cone Lumber to friends and family.

Pine cone lumber is the best out there. I am a general contractor in the bay area and have used just about every lumber yard there is out there. Pine cone not only has the best inventory of material and hardware in stock, but they have the best sales guys as well. The guys at the counters are the best in the lumber industry knowing everything from HDU2 to a TJI 560 and everything in between. I have not had a better customer experience then when I go in there and talk to JR @ pinecone lumber. JR is one of the best (if not the best) sales rep at pine come lumber. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, patient, and a great guy to work with. I recommend pine cone lumber to not only those in the industry but anyone that is looking for a great lumber yard. Best place for lumber in the South Bay and Peninsula by far. Huge selection and all good quality. Unlike the big box stores I don't need to dig through a rack of boards to find ones that aren't split or warped. I can pick the ones  on top and go. Reasonable prices too.
